Will Clark
Will Clark is The Telluride School’s founding Head of School. He comes to us after more than a decade in the classroom — middle-school English in Austin, high-school literature in Athens, K–8 athletics and outdoor education — and, most recently, teaching right here in our valley.
He holds a master’s in English education from the University of Georgia and is completing a second master’s in English through Middlebury’s Bread Loaf School of English. A Gettysburg College graduate who played varsity football, Will chose this school for a simple reason: he wanted to be able to tell a parent exactly where their child stands in every subject — not guess and hope — and to spend his days teaching, not buried in administration.
Off the clock, you’ll find him on the mountain or the rink with his fiancée Kate and their dogs, Chipper and Bruce — and cheering, loudly, for Georgia.

Builders who teach.
We’re assembling the founding team now: guides who can run a great academic morning and coach a kid through their first hockey stop or first shipped robot. You’d be building a school from its first cohort — not slotting into someone else’s. Will Clark is part of every hiring decision.
Founding Guide
Co-lead the school alongside the Head of School; anchor the Lower Studio (grades 3–5) and flex across both. Run the mastery block, conference one-on-one, and own the human side of learning while the software handles the curriculum.
Mountain & Rink Coach
Lead the afternoon and the late-morning ice block — learn-to-skate, hockey skills, and alpine literacy in winter; biking and trail in the shoulder seasons. Comfortable on snow, on ice, and with kids of every level.
Workshop & STEM Maker
Run The Workshop — robotics, coding, woodworking — and help every child ship something real for the Showcase. A maker who can teach a 9-year-old to use a tool safely and a 13-year-old to debug their own code.
Arts & Music Guide
Bring music, art, and theater into the week with real craft and real standards. Help kids make things worth keeping — and worth performing at the Showcase.

Chris Carter
A software entrepreneur and lifelong builder who has founded, funded, and sold enterprise-software companies. At The Telluride School he leads Faraday Learning — the platform the school runs on — and tells the school’s story. He’s also a dad of three boys who will be in the founding cohort. This is the school he wished existed for them.
Bevin Carter
The integrator who turns a vision into a working school — admissions, finances, and the day-to-day family experience. If something at The Telluride School runs smoothly, it’s usually because Bevin built the system behind it. She holds the whole family experience to one standard: every child known by name.
