Tuition 2026–27

What it costs, in plain numbers.

One rate, one community, four quarters. Here is the founding year, in full — no asterisks.

The full academic program and the core learning software platform, plus school polos (boys & girls) and a backpack for every student. The Second Curriculum — mountain, rink, workshop, and the arts — is part of the program; specific season programs (skiing, hockey, music) carry the activity fees below.

Sibling savings

A TTS all-mountain ski jacket is available at cost (~$300), optional each year. Polos, backpacks, and the academic software platform are included in tuition.

Visiting Scholars

Join us for the winter — through the spring Showcase.

Visiting Scholars enroll for The Mountain and Go quarters (January–May) — here for the heart of the ski season and the May Showcase. Because it’s a two-quarter commitment, the per-quarter rate carries only a 15% premium.

Visiting Scholars may bring their own academic curriculum — for example, an Alpha learner spending the winter in Telluride — in which case we remove the technology fee. Every other enrolled student learns on the school’s core platform.

Billing & terms

Simple, predictable, on auto-draw.

How billing works

  • Tuition is paid in one payment per quarter via automatic draft, due 45 days before each quarter begins.
  • A monthly payment plan is available with a 10% processing adjustment.
  • A $2,000 deposit reserves your child’s spot and is applied to tuition.

Looking ahead

The $28,772 founding rate is locked for families who join in 2026–27. For new families enrolling in Fall 2027, full-year tuition will be $36,000, and à-la-carte pricing rises accordingly. All tuition rates — including founding and discounted rates — rise modestly each year with CPI to sustain the school. Your founding rate is a starting point, not a permanent freeze — and it stays below the new-family rate.

Two more ways in

Founding Scholars & Assistant Guides.

A limited number of families join the founding year through one of two paths. If either sounds like you, tell us how you’d fit in — we’ll take it from there.

Founding Scholars

25% off the founding year

A limited number of mission-aligned founding families join the inaugural cohort at 25% off the first year. Afterward you continue at the founding rate — below the new-family rate.

Assistant Guides

A paid role — and tuition relief

Parents who help build the school can join the team. Full-time guides hold a salaried role and receive a 50% tuition discount for one child; part-time guides coach a few hours a week for a monthly stipend and a 20% discount.

Discere et facere. — To learn, and to do.

Letters to a Young Mind

Occasional letters from the founders.

No drip campaign, no noise — a few times a season we write about how children actually learn, and what we’re building in Telluride. Read the manifesto first; subscribe if it’s yours.
